SandPro says...
1st off, not sure that many people will spend the money to switch. I spent the money to basically test P3D so others did not have to do so. I I am still not firmly convened there are any major advantages to upgrade. There are still a lot of downsides... like having to redo all our existing scenery and a lot of existing aircraft to work properly in P3D, everything is slightly darker, hosting still has a lot of the same issues. Remember, P3D is basically just a graphic upgrade for FSX.... NOT a new Flight Sim engine.
There are really not that many MILITARY people using P3D, at this point. I have hosted in the past for weeks and never saw anyone join.

A few are using Steam.... and I still, to this day, do not understand why they switched.... it is still FSX... no advantages... just more work to get it up and running properly.

Not sure I understand the second part "and it and when TacPack is up and running". I can put up and host a version 3 session... if, that is what your are asking.

Hello SandPro. It doesn't sound from what you're saying like P3D is worth the effort let along the expense. Also, I'm very interested in the idea of Salty developing [email protected] areas for us. I know it will take time, but this is more intriguing to me than changing to a new simulator that has more issues to overcome for little reward. If P3D comes up with some amazing new bells and whistles and becomes more user friendly, then I would consider it. In the meantime I'm still enjoy FSXCarriier Ops just about every day. Thanks so much again for making this multiplayer site possible for us to use. Bird

Not necessarily planing to switch to P3D...although it does allow using the whole fleet with the TSP file, has a rolling deck on the carrier, uses DX-11, etc...... just part of the beta test team. At some future point if enough want to switch, I can.

Note If anyone has ver 3 P3D... i often have a session up from my PC at home... while testing... or let me know.. I can bring it up if anyone wants.

If you use FRAPS to record in P3D.... Open up Fraps before starting P3D. Also I use "Shift+Ctl+]" to start/stop recording.
